Audubon Area is one of the premier human/family and community services agencies in Kentucky. Audubon's central office is located in Owensboro, Kentucky, a known historic river town on the banks of the Ohio River. Audubon Area serves 34 Western Kentucky counties, and communities between the Ohio River and the Kentucky-Tennessee border, and from Mammoth Cave to the Mississippi River, recently adding service to nearly all Kentucky counties, except three northern with the newest Counseling Services program KISP. The programs providing service include Child Care Assistance, Community Services Block Grant, Counseling Services, Green River Intra-Transit System GRITS), Head Start, Lincolnshire, Senior Corps, and Weatherization.
