Services Available
Services Blue Grass CAP provides include:

• Adult Day Care Program – Serves older individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia
• Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) – Provides services to address poverty based on community need
• Demand Side Management – Creates/develops energy conservation programs through partnerships
• Energy Assistance – Subsidy/Crisis Programs help maintain family stability
• Head Start – Provides comprehensive education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to
low-income children and their families
• Home Care - Provides in-home services to increase the independence of those who are home-bound or 
at high risk of nursing home placement
• Housing Services – Provides referral and placement
• Kentucky’s Housing and Emergency Assistance Reaching the Homeless (KY HEARTH) – Helps prevent
individuals and families from becoming homeless and helps those who are experiencing
homelessness to be quickly re-housed and stabilized
• PHHD – Permanent housing for those who are homeless and disabled
• ReEntry Program – Transition program for persons transitioning from jail or prison
• Samaritan – Supportive housing program for chronically homeless individuals with disabilities
• Scholarship Program – Provides financial assistance (books, tuition, childcare, etc.)
• Self-Sufficiency Program – Comprehensive case management services
• Senior Community Employment Service Program
• Senior Companion Program – Seniors provide friendship/companionship to a frail peer to help maintain
independence
• Tenant Based Rental Assistance Program (TBRA)
• Transportation Services: 5311(f) Intercity – Transportation system from Danville to Lexington to connect
to the larger transportation providers
• Transportation Services: Blue Grass Ultra-Transit Service (BUS) – Participants have access to
dependable/affordable transportation
• Transportation Services: Deviated Fixed Route Danville – Public transportation serving the city of Danville
• Transportation Services: JARC – Job Access/Reverse Commute
• Transportation Services: New Freedom – Transportation program at reduced rates for the disabled
• Weatherization – Winterizes homes to lower energy consumption and heating costs
• WinterCare – Assists those in need with their utility bills
