Services Available
Services Pennyrile Allied Community Services provides include:

• Adult Day Care Program – Serves older individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia
• Community Food and Nutrition – Monthly food distribution 
• Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) – Provides services to address poverty based on community need
• Energy Assistance – Subsidy/Crisis Programs help maintain family stability 
• Family Preservation/Family Reunification – Case management to enable families to remain intact
• Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) – Emergency food, clothing and housing services
• Home Care - Provides in-home services to increase the independence of those who are home-bound or at high risk of nursing home placement
• Nutrition Outreach and Wellness Program (NOW) – Provides nutritional education
• Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) – Matches volunteers ages 55 and over with a wide variety of volunteer opportunities
• Senior Companion Program – Seniors provide friendship/companionship to a frail peer to help maintain independence
• Senior Employment Program – Helps seniors attain employable skills
• State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) –  Volunteers assist participants with problems related to health care providers, enroll participants in Medicare Part D, and assist with benefits counseling
• Tax Counseling for the Elderly – Complete tax returns for the elderly
• Title III F Health and Education Aging – Provides participants 60+ years of age the opportunity to enter an on-the-job training experience
• Transportation – Participants have access to dependable/affordable transportation
• Weatherization – Winterizes homes to lower energy consumption and heating costs
• WinterCare – Assists those in need with their utility bills
