Learn about Poverty: Learn more about poverty and how it affects everyone. Understand that a person can have a job, be educated and still live in poverty. Discover new ways to reduce the effects of poverty through education, stabilizing families and creating better jobs.

| Advocate: Tell others how poverty affects them and what they can do about it. Explain to them what is meant by the "working poor"- people who have jobs that don't pay enough to support their family. Discuss the plight of elderly who have to decide each month between medical care, heat, electricity, and food. |

Support: Support the efforts of your local Community Action Agency through tax-deductible contributions. Know that your donations benefit people right here in Kentucky.

Volunteer: Spend time helping families in need through organizations in your community. Spend time helping local civic organizations, charities, churches and you local Community Action Partnership Agency. |
