Head Start Grantees Unemployment Insurance Trust

Community Action Kentucky provides staff support to the Kentucky Head Start Grantees Unemployment Insurance Trust. The Trust is composed of eight Head Start Grantees, seven of which are Community Action Agencies. The Trust was established to allow Head Start Grantees to set aside their own funds in a separate account to pay their own unemployment insurance claims. Community Action Kentucky works with the Trust’s legal counsel and Investment Portfolio Manager and handles other administrative tasks for the Trust to help its members meet their responsibilities.
